LUCERNE PELLETS

Weideman Lucerne Pellet is a complete feed suitable for most animals with no NPN sources (Urea, etc.), medications, or Ionophores, making it very safe. We aim to formulate the energy and protein of the Lucerne Pellet as optimally as possible to create a good and affordable feed. The pellet is a composition of good concentrate feed, roughage, oilcake, and molasses, making it an excellent maintenance pellet.

FEEDING CHART FOR SHEEP

Optimize livestock nutrition with a tailored approach, incorporating Weideman’s guidance, ensuring ewes, lambs, and rams receive the right feed at crucial stages for robust health and production.

Ewe From weaning until 30 days after the first mating.
6 weeks before and after lambing on a regular ewe feeding program.		 Ram, lamb, and ewe pills during the production period.
Lambs From 2 weeks old until 2 weeks after weaning. Full lamb creep feed.
Lambs From weaning until reaching sufficient weight. Lamb finishing pills.
Rams 2 months before the breeding season (sperm production takes about 2 months). Ram, lamb, and ewe pills during the production period.
Rams 3 weeks before pairing to 3 weeks after pairing. If grazing is limited: Ram, lamb, and ewe pills.
Rams 6 weeks before and after lambing during the production lick. If grazing is limited: Ram, lamb, and ewe pills.
